I have been wanting to get a console table, since Jason finished our little remodel project (that I haven't really blogged about yet). So I spent many hours looking online and I fell in love with this one from JC Penny Home Store. Jason however had other plans, he wanted to make me a console table. And it's not that I didn't think Jason would do a good job, I know it's his talent. But I just didn't know if it would turn out like I wanted it. Like the one in the picture. So Jason had his dad come over to help and I looked it up online to print out the picture and of course the table was on sale for half off. But they didn't have the right color and it was made of mdf. Jason was going to do build his with real wood ( I should note that I didn't really care what it was made out of, I just wanted the table : )

So they worked pretty hard on this table and...

I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn't get the best picture of it, the stain turned out perfect and it looks like an old piece of furniture. It looks so much better in person. Pretty close to the first picture, don't you think? Now, what to put on it? By the way it such gorgeous wood I can't imagine a cheap table looking this good!

Super Cody...

** Edited to add above image
My mom and I were so excited to find these at party city, giant quarter machine containers instead of gift bags!!

My baby is 3... what in the world happened to the last 3 years? I really wanted to have a party for him, mainly so I could make superhero stuff. We only invited 3 friends so it didnt get to costly or out a hand. My mom helped with most of the stuff, I get my craftiness form her!

I found an idea for Super Cuffs HERE

and we made them to match the t-shirts.

I made each boy a t-shirt, I used the freezer paper method, its soo easy. And the shirts were on sale at Hobby Lobby for $1.50!

I made capes out of Poly satin which is what every super hero needs! And we velcroed them to the shirts, I didnt get good velcro (I used an iron on kind),at the party while the kids were playing I noticed the capes coming off. So my mom and I had to sew the velcro on.

Since it rained Sat and Sun we had to have the party inside, so we moved out the couch and blew up the ball pit.

Pick your battles!

The other day I was a little mad at my children when I looked up and saw toothpaste on the bathroom ceiling. Now its not that big a deal. I was looking at THIS (blog which I love, she is an amazing seamstress), and from her blog I came across THIS. I showed the pictures to Jason and he agreed with me, we have GREAT kids!!!

Arizona Rain

There is nothing better than Arizona Rain! We don't get it enough, so when we do we enjoy every second of it. I love going out in the rain, running errands and driving around. This week we have gotten so much of this wonderfulness! Right now we have had almost 24hrs of the nonstop goodness. And a day and a half to go. I had to swim across my backyard to take the trash can out to the curb, that might turn out to be a bad idea, I'll most likely be swimming down the street looking for a floating trash can. I'm not even sure if it will get picked up tomorrow. People seem to be stunned at this weather, and are unsure of what to do. Has there ever been a rain day at AZ schools? Quite a few are closing tomorrow due to flooding. CRAZY!!
